Any good flight sim games available online?
Im looking to play a flight sim game online without having to download. I love microsft flight sim x but the trial version is too large as i dont have much memory left on this computer. Im looking for something that you can take off and land mainly, ill understand if the graphics are abit rubbish i dont mid that. Any help would be great, thanks.

how good is a gamepad for playing flight sim games like IL2 sturmovik?
i know joysticks are best for it, but since i am planning on a gamepad, can u tell me if its easy n accurate enough to play this game with a gamepad?

Anyway, it depends on the gamepad. I use my ps3 sixaxis controller on my PC, which has two analog thumbsticks that are as precise as flightsticks and just as intuitive to use. A ps2 dualshock2 controller would work too, or an xbox controller, though the ones from the last generation would need adapters.
A gamepad without thumbsticks is different, the d-pad is not so good. But if it’s pressure sensitive, at least it will give you some control over how hard you’re moving the stick. I don’t know how advanced that IL2 sim is, but a pad without sticks probably wouldn’t do so good. I’ve tried using d-pad on flightsims before, and it’s tough, especially for landing, and for ground combat runs. You can’t line anything up just right, you always go a little too much left or a little too much right.
Fortunately pads with sticks are cheap, dualshocks are maybe 5 to 10 bucks used, and adapters to usb can be got for 10 bucks or so, and the drivers to run them are free. Gravis pads are good too.
