Is Microsoft coming out with a new flight simulator soon?
I have fsx but I was wondering if a new microsoft flight simulator is coming out or and upgrade??
Microsoft Flight – New Flight Simulator not compatible with XP why?
Why isn’t the new Microsoft Flight, flight simulator not going to be compatible with Windows XP? How on earth could there be size constraints? I’m just not buying the official reasoning.
It seems to be like an attempt to try and get people to also upgrade to Windows 7. If XP is stable and one of the best operating systems you’ve used then why would I want to upgrade to Windows 7 which is an attempt by Microsoft to correct all the flaws with Windows Vista which wasn’t tested properly and was riddled with bugs.
well. like it or not, XP has come to the end of its road.
it came out about 10 yrs ago and in computer terms, this is nearly eternity.
it is not that XP wouldn’t have the resources or ability to run m$ flight, it’s simply that in line with the whole “cloud” buzz, m$ wants to make it an “online” experience.
in order to make use of computer’s capabilities (mostly display related) “in the cloud”, new technologies are required; m$ silverlight is one of those technologies (a framework, in fact).
the problem is that always backborting new technologies to aging platforms costs money and since XP is not sold anymore (for quite some time, now) there is no way to recover those costs anymore.
thus the support for new technologies (and the products, such as m$ flight which depend on them) can not be financed and thus is not done anymore.
LostDOS se7en is indeed based on v!$t0 but m$ learned from their mistakes w/ v!$t0 and improved things. independently most software do have bugs and blaming it all on the OS (se7en) isn’t quite fair; the programs, games, applications, browsers, media players and plug-ins do add to the complexity and bring their share of errors too, alas.
i’m myself a m@ke$$h!t foe (of the 1st hour) and switched my home computer to Linux / GNU (openSUSE, in fact) when v!$t0 came out.
never looked back ¦-)
i want to buy microsoft flight simulator, so i want to know that which one is new version?
which one is new flight simulator X, or flight simulator 2004 and this works on vista or not?
Is my computer powerful enough to run the new Microsoft Flight Simulator on it?
I would like to pick up the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, but have read that you need a very powerful computer to get the most out of it. I just purchased a new HPdv7-1025nr notebook with an Intel 2 core duo P8200 2.27GH processor, 4GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M video card. Also, my base Vista rating is 4.8. Is this enough to run the simulator well?
