With all simple games their are always harder games to play. Some high tech helicopter games online require a lot of skill to play. They are very similar to a flight simulator and have challenging missions to play. Most of these games have detailed 3D graphics which makes you actually feel like you are really flying a helicopter as it is so realistic with great quality of sounds. This level of online helicopter games require a lot more technique and skill, without the skills of playing this game you would really not enjoy it as much, unless you enjoy crashing.

What are some very good/accurate helicopter/airplane flight simulators for PC?
I have a little over a year in the Air Force as a Flight Control technician and I’m looking to better understand the aerodynamics of helicopters, airplanes, and jets. Reading books & manuals about it just doesn’t do it for me. What are some top-notch accurate flight simulators for the PC out there that will get me familiar with all the buttons, displays, flight controls, and everything involved with flying/landing aircraft?
P.S.
Thinking about getting a 3-screen setup, with a joystick, rudder pedals, and the whole nine yards so too. Recommendations on what brand of hardware to buy for this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Microsoft flight Sim is the best out there. Get the most current version and you will be set.
To learn about aerodynamics you can also use RealFlight RC plane simulator, they use RC controls but you can see the difference between each aircraft and how it flies.

It seems like you answered your own question. If you want to know how the buffeting motion is replicated; it would be by introducing pressure oscillation in the hydraulic support struts.
In full motion simulators the cockpit module is supported by hydraulic struts. Position is controlled by strut length. Acceleration is replicated by tilting the nose up. Vibration can be duplicated by creating out of phase, pressure pulses in the hydraulic supply pressure on either side of the desired axis.

Looking for a good combat helicopter flight simulator?
I used to play Apache Havoc back when the graphics were passable, but I’m looking for a new game that’s just as realistic in the feel and control of it, but allows for better A.I. and visuals. Any ideas? So far all I’ve been able to find is Commanche 4 which is already a couple years old, and a bit more arcade-ish than I care for.
Not a simulator and very arcadish and old now, Soviet Strike was a fun helicopter game to play for PS1. If your ever looking for something less serious, try that out.
