When I load an aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the aircraft appears darker, as if in shadow mode?
How can I fix this problem? As soon as I load an aircraft, the screen flickers black, then the planes appear darker/dimmer. The game is MS Flight Simulator 2004.

The video card should be more than 32MB.

FS2004 add on aircraft?
I just downloaded some add on planes for FS 2004
and installed them by unzipping the files to C/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft. But none of them show up in game
what am i doing wrong???

try it again…
Step 1: make sure you have the following folders and files inside your new aircraft folder. 1, Model 2. Panel 3. sound 4. aircraft.cfg (configuration file). 4 (aircraft name).AIR. if your new aircraft does not come with any one of these files, it is a corrupt file and cannot be used with FS 2004
Step 2: unzip contents of compressed folder to a temporary location on your computer (i like the desktop).
Step 3: copy anything and everything that has to do with the aircraft name (copy the folder) into C:program filesmicrosoft gamesmicrosoftFlight Simulator 9aircraft.
Step 4: if your aircraft comes with separate folders marked either guages or effects, copy the contents of these folders into C:program filesmicrosoft gamesmicrosoftFlight Simulator 9guages or effects (respectively). do not leave these files within your new aircraft folder.
Step 5. fire up FS2004.. choose “Select aircraft”, you should now see your new aircraft in the box.
